GPSAF listserver - The GPSAF provides a listserver for members to communicate with one another and share ideas.  If you are a member and wish to sign up for the listserver send an email to Dave Mooter (dmooter2@unl.edu).  You will receive a confirmation message giving you instructions on how to use the server and options for various commands.  Email addresses in the listserver are kept confidential.

        Professional Member -

Holds a bachelor's degree or higher in forestry from an SAF-accredited institution or equivilent.
 
        Conditional Professional Member
A scientist or practitioner who holds a bachelor’s or higher degree within the broad field of forestry, based on a curriculum that is neither SAF-accredited nor a candidate for accreditation, and who has less than three years of qualifying experience within the broad field of forestry.
 
        Associate Member
A scientist or practitioner who holds a bachelor’s or higher degree in a subject area not within the broad field of forestry but who works in a position that strongly influences the profession of forestry (excluding elected officials).
 
        Technician Member
A graduate of an associate degree program within the broad field of forestry.
 
        Student Member
An undergraduate or graduate student in forestry, pre-forestry, or a forest technician program, or in another program within the broad field of forestry.

SAF Fellows are professional members who have demonstrated a strong and continuing commitment through direct SAF volunteer activities and exemplary action, sustained leadership, and advancement of the forestry profession.  Fellows are selected by nomination and a vote of the members.
